Hi. I’m Jennifer. You can call me that or Jen or Jen Lava or Lava. AJ is reserved for the tiny humans in my life. I’m a 37 year old living in DC. I’m trying to figure the world out with the added bonus of having been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in June 2019 and again in April 2021. Carl is the name of my tumor. He’s an asshole. Come for the stories about my journey (ugh that word sucks, but you know what I’m trying to say). But stay for my misadventures and random (hopefully) helpful tidbits. My team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is made up of the best doctors and nurses in the world and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
